For the Love of Reading

At first I was disappointed that she didn't appreciate the family hobby of fishing. Then I realized she had discovered a way to spend the time while everyone else fished. I think she made a great choice.

BTW, I fixed the link for you on the Blog Around the World page Michigan page I have been out of town for a few days so I am just now getting to it. I apologize for the snafu...It was totally my fault!

I wish my girl was a reader. It's always down to the wire with the summer reading list!! I believe she would fish all day though!

I am the reader in the family. Right now, I am reading "Robinson Crusoe"....one of my favorites:)

Great picture! Be proud! And I bet someday she will get the urge to try the fishing thing!

What a great photo! I'd have to say that if you took me on a fishing trip, I'd probably curl up in the back of the SUV with a good book, too! You should be proud of her for wanting to read on her own. I'm a high school English teacher, and see so many kids who loathe reading--it's really kind of sad!

My kids read like fiends. When we were camping, it was dead silent at times, the three of reading and Mr.4444 napping. Gotta love books! :)
