They Found Her and Then Some

My daughter was quite happy to wear her new sweater to school last week. It was not stained, stretched out, puppy-chewed, nor was it too Walmarty. So she was in a good mood when she got to school.
About two minutes after the bell rang, a boy called out from the other side of the room, "Hey! I just found Waldo!" There was laughter and a couple of more Waldo comments were exchanged, but my girl sat oblivious to it all. She had never heard of Waldo. Then the teacher got involved and postulated that, no, it couldn't be Waldo because his shirt was red and white and *gasp* my daughter's shirt was red and gray.
WAIT A MINUTE! The teacher just said her name. Could all this talk be about her?!
Horror of horrors. It was.
My daughter said that she stopped counting the Waldo comments at lunchtime when the 60th person said something.
It was such a nice sweater, too. I suppose the thrift store will appreciate the donation.

Even the teacher? I am speechless. And that young lady is beautiful--as is the sweater.

I like the sweater... why are kids so mean? Ha, my daughter would have been the same way- "WHAT- you want me to wear the sweater AGAIN? Are you INSANE?" and off to the thrift store it would go....

Have a good weekend :)

Kids are so cruel to one another. What a shame. Your daughter looks great in that sweater. Thrift store?? Wait!! I'll take it!

I never in a million years would have thought someone would say that.....well, I suppose 'cause I did not see it either. :0
What a cutie.
The Sweater will have another life I suppose.

She looks BEAUTIFUL in that sweater!
I don't suppose she "would" wear it again, JUST FOR LAUGHS?? NOT!
Oh well, hope it did not cost you a fortune!

Kids can be so cruel sometimes. I like the sweater myself. But then I am 48 years old so my opinion does not count to young girls anymore. Hey, thanks for coming by and seeing me. I just read through some of your posts and find you hilarious. (Is that ok?) I will definatly be back. The only reason I am going to the gym that much is I have a goal. Well, a couple of them actually. 40 year banquet in June, family beach vacation in June, 2 (yes, 2) 30 year high school reunions and then my karate promotion in November. AFter it is all over I can revert back to my couch potato ways. Kidding!

Idiots! It's a very nice sweater and she looks great in it.

If she's Waldo at least she stands out in the throngs of sheeple otherwise known as high school.

She looks resplendent.
Walmarty. I use the terms(not to express love)Walmarty, Targety, Kmarty & Fast Foody, but I thought I was the only one.~Mary

I was the kind of kid who if they said something like that about my sweater would have worn it every day just for the fun of it. But I can see why she would want it gone.

I'm appalled that the teacher contributed instead of stopped that behavior. Why can't we encourage our young women to be beautiful in their own way.

Those are the Divas school colors and I am pretty sure we can dig a similar sweater out of her wardrobe. I cannot believe the teacher chimed in.
Those pine wood derby cars are awesome. Nothing like my brothers 30+ years ago. That time was spent on the Soap Box Derby car.

Congratulations on the applesauce cake!

I am thrilled your family likes it and I am so happy it worked out for you. Raisins, applesauce, sheesh next thing you know we'll have them eating tofu LOL

Some kids are so idiotic-- she looks adorable in that sweater-- I would NEVER in a million years even have thought of the Waldo connection. It's not even like his.
