I'm a spinner. Nervous habit, my spinning is. But my spinning has nothing to do with bikes or wool. My spinning involves wedding rings going around and around and around, and sometimes they come off and go back on, ad nauseum. It feels very good to constantly fidget with those rings. Sometimes while I teach, the rings get inadvertently dropped while I'm spinning them and they roll quickly under desks, and through the maze of backpacks and shoes and purses. The class stops. All eyes are on the rolling rings. It happens at least once per class every semester. When the rings get to a stop, two or three students go chasing them, no doubt in order to maintain favor with me. I accept my rings back demurely and we proceed. (Of course, there was one time last fall when the student brought my rings back to me and ON BENT KNEE presented them to me.)
For Easter this year, the Easter Bunny brought my daughter a spinner ring.
Too bad!! She hated it.
Too bad!! It didn't fit her.
Good luck!! I loved it.
Better luck!! It fit me.
So now I don't have to take the ring off to spin it.
Truth? I'm going to miss those students scrambling for my rolling rings.

The student on bended knee - did he propose better marks?
Random proposals from inappropriate younger men? Sign me up for spinning class! :P
I love my spinner ring too Caution. I wear it on my thumb. Here we call it a "worry ring".
I spin when I am thinking hard.
This is such a cute idea...love that ring.
You are a spinner huh? I thought at the beginning of this post the story was going elsewhere...I am very happy where we ended up. :)
My husband got cured of messing with his wedding ring very early on when we were sitting at an outdoor cafe.
Our table was pretty much over a grating of some kind...it wasn't unpleasant -- just a grid of metal with something undetermined below.
As usual he was spinning his ring and taking it off and putting it on -- and he dropped it.
It rolled along one narrow edge of the grating, past the open squares on either side, and landed at the waiter's feet.
As he handed it to my husband, he said, "Bet you never do that again!"
And he hasn't!
I'd miss those ring-bearing students, too, especially if they get down on bended knee.
I like that spinning ring...it is so cool!
Love this! I'll bet that kneeling student was one character. Effervescent but maybe not the most studious. Funny, witty, deep down a good heart.
Anyway, glad to hear about your fidgeting--I spin and twirl rings, bracelets, tennis rackets basically anything that is in my hands or near them is fair game.
That ring shown above is absolutely gorgeous! What absolutely grand luck that it fit.
oooh, that's cool. I might like to start something like ring spinning.
I'm impressed your ring is loose enough to spin. Mine has been quite tight the last few years.....couldn't spin it if I wanted to.
Funny-I know a ring spinner too.
