We All Have Our Moments

My dear husband is highly regarded at work and in our social circle for his decisive and logical management style. Give him a task and it will be efficiently accomplished. At home, I completely trust him and regard him as a person who can fix all troubles.

Yesterday he was shopping in preparation for our trip. I texted him repeatedly with additional items we needed and all was well until it was time for him to cash out.

It was at that point that he realized he had left his cart somewhere in the store and had taken someone else's cart.

I am most grateful that periodically he can experience the way I live life.

oh man

I once bought a couple feminine hygiene products that were placed on the belt after my groceries. In my hurry, when the cashier asked if the pads were mine I just said yes - and the woman behind me hadn't noticed either.

I got home and my PREGNANT wife burst out laughing in the middle of taking care of the groceries. She knew instantly what had happened.

Stuff like this happens to me all the time - although it usually involves somebody else's mini-van.

That's funny! Hope he came back with the correct cart!

I think your husband grabbed the wrong cart on purpose just so you would feature him on the blog.....

He is human... I was beginning to think, except for dishwashers, that he was pretty perfect. Too fun. I hope he knows that we are laughing with him, not at him. Hope you have a great trip.

As to the squash... when you get back from your trip, try it. I don't know why you couldn't grow it late. You'll just have to put the water to it. By the time you get back from your trip all your friends that garden will probably be getting tired of squash and be glad to give you some to get it off their plates... or go to the farmer's market. But I'd try it just for the fun of it.

Okay. One question. I see you have that upside down tomato planter and am wondering ... how it's going?

That you described this so respectfully and politely only adds to the humor, but also to an insight: You have a wonderful relationship.

If not, then a long-distance trip will only seal the fate.

Safe travels, and here's hoping he doesn't get in the wrong car at a rest stop.
