I sat next to an acquaintance last week at a scout meeting. We've never talked much, although we have served on the same committee for the past six months. But when has the lack of a friendship stopped women from talking?
During that hour and a half meeting, she and I:
discussed her hysterectomy,
actively participated in the meeting,
sang Christmas carols,
discussed her children,
discussed my children,
made tie/fleece blankets to donate to a shelter,
learned about each other's jobs,
shared our opinions of certain teachers,
interacted with several other families,
discussed roller coaster libidos, and
took our scouts to visit with Santa.
Additionally,
she made a brief presentation
and she may have learned as much about me as I did about her.
It was a very fulfilling night, and it made me once again appreciate the amazing
multi-tasking mind of women.
P.S. When I Googled "female symbols" why did I get images of butt-lifts?

Moms like you make me a tad paranoid...what was it, exactly, that you were saying about your kids' teachers? :)
That's a Wrap
I love women like you and your new friend. Men will never get this part. :)
ps. The picture is not there...or the butts have been lifted so much that I don't see them. :)
I am woman. Hear me chat:)
If only we took the time to sit and talk to each other. More importantly, listen!
Yes, we woman do have he gift of gab.
I went and hung with a new friend for a couple of hours Saturday- we learned alot about each other.
Nice talking to an adult woman now & then!
Women Rule. Period!
We are awesome, aren't we?
sounds like a fun time! aren't those tied fleece blankets fun to do?
betty
So many people fail to realize that we get so much more back when we volunteer than what we put in. I'm glad you had a good time and nurtured a friendship in the process.
