Evan's mom has me thinking about what I'm thankful for. Here's today's completely incongruent list.
That when my kids are sick, it's just a short-term virus and they will be perfectly healthy in just a few days.
That I have a job which allows me to volunteer in my son's classroom.
That the meds are working for my son and we had a positive parent/teacher/principal conference.
That the best educational advice I still get is from my high school guidance counselor, my mom!
That the sun is bright and the sky is blue!
That I have neighbors who know my name and say it kindly.
That there was no ice and I could wear my nice shoes for the first day of the semester.
That when my child wet the bed the other night, the child who was sharing the bed with him didn't punch him.
That the Christmas wreath in my family room looks good with Valentine's Day tinsel on it and will look even better with St. Patrick's Day tinsel.
That Yaya's news had me smiling for hours and hours: )
That my kids have contracted with the neighbors to shovel snow, and that the snow has come during school hours, and that I have earned $40 shoveling thus far this year.
That when I kindly (albeit insincerely) offered to go camping for our summer vacation, I was able to hide my dismay when everyone said yes.
And that MOST of my blogging/FB friends agreed with me that adults don't skip anymore because of ... well... physical attributes.

Love the WHOLE list EXCEPT for the Xmas wreath. I'm hyperventilating over here stressing about you STILL having a wreath up!! :)

NO AIR SUPPLY???? Are you mad woman? But TOTO does rock!!
Hallie :)
You had me wondering about the camping thing. I figured I'd go with it while it lasted.
Why do we always take on the jobs for our kids?
I need to see that wreath!

So much to be thankful for. I am thankful you shared all of this. I love that you are earning money while the kids are NOT. :)
I love to camp. Can I go?
Gratitude is transforming!
Yaya's wonderful news makes me giddy whenever I think of it.
Gawd it's good to pull up a chair at your place and visit. Wish I could be here more often!
Loved the fragment about the wreath; I'm with you, hon.
Oh, man! I haven't heard the news!!! THANKS!

I've been smiling non stop!
You've got a lot to be thankful for!
I agree with Mrs4444 - this is always a nice, calm place to visit. And we all need it!
And you're right - we have so much to be thankful for....
