FF: Where Walmart and Facebook Vie for Attention

~After a FF absence of a few weeks, I return amazed by how much I missed all you fragmented bloggers. Thankfully, I've had Facebook to keep me company during my self-imposed absence.
Mommy's Idea

~Someone I know just had a prescription increased from 1.25 mls to 2.5 mls, yet when the script was picked up at the pharmacy, the directions said .5 mls. A call from the pharmacist to a clerk in the doctor's office resulted in a dosage of 10 mls until the patient and pharmacist agreed that didn't sound likely. A second call from the pharmacist to the doctor's office finally brought about the right dosage of 2.5. Yikes!

~I got my hair cut at ... WalMart. $15 later, I look better than I have in months although the stylist may have been on speed.

~While walking into WalMart, I watched a very aggressive driver bebop around other cars and finally land in a handicapped spot. She and her cell phone parked and walked in front of other drivers to get into the store. As she entered the store, she raised her keys behind her head and pressed the lock button. Since she never looked back once, I do wonder how long it took her to realize that she had not pressed the lock button, but that she had pressed the remote start button.

~On Tuesday morning between 10 and 11 AM, I was told by three different clerks to have a good night.

~My friend sent me an email last week and referenced the song, "Why don't we just dance." I spent two days fretting about why she wanted to dance with me. Then I finally reread the note and realized she was just saying she had heard the song and liked it and she hoped we could meet for coffee. That I can do.

~Facebook has apparently not done anything to improve the rate with which I reply to email.

~FB has, however, offered yet another form of entertainment as I watch my friends interact with their daughters' boyfriends. In their FB posts, the boyfriends are all so cautious and solicitous of the moms' health, welfare, and social calendars. "Hope you have a great day, Mrs. So and So."

~And finally one last Facebook mention: next summer I have a high school reunion. This week I was overcome with doubt that anyone would remember me and that begat panic that maybe I never even had any friends in high school. When I hinted at that on FB, I received some absolutely lovely notes from high school classmates - although not nearly as many as I might have thought SHOULD respond!

I have so missed FF!

Ok - karma for the Handicap parker...no?!

Scary about the scrip...I'm forever checking any script when I pick them up.

Good for you to know what the Dr had ordered for meds!!!

And I am cracking up about the lady who started her car instead of locking it. Did you wait around until she got out to see her reaction?

Oh the pharmacy of it all. Just ask them to convert those mls to dollars and cents. Suddenly the lights come on.

It's comforting to know that one can have a good experience at Wal-Mart. I was having some serious doubts! Happy Friday ;)

A plethora of facts and incidents to ponder. I hate class reunions even though I've never attended one! Maybe I should.

LOL about the remote starter. My mom has that on her car (living in FL I didn't have a need for it really, now I wish I did) but I digress. I went out to start and move her car after a snowstorm and the car would not start. I was SOOO nervous that the last time I had been out with the keys to get something for her that I might have started it by accident and it had run out of gas. It is very quiet when it runs. Luckily for me, it was a dead battery because she left an interior light on!

Have a greatr weekend!

Woooooo hoo, love that "beboping" driver at Walmart... Does that mean someone could have made off with her car? I don't want to say it serves her right, because that would be just wrong, but... well, you know karma...

Maybe that's what I should do - find a hairdresser at Wal*Mart on speed and maybe I'll finally get a decent hair cut. ;)

I just about spit my soda out when I read the part about the Wal*Mart parking lot woman - serves her right she accidentally started her vehicle instead of locking it. Hope she was in the store for a very long time! :)

When I worked retail I usually worked in the evenings but every now and then I did a morning shift. I wished everyone a good night then too!

I'm laughing at the lady pushing the remote start button... kinda sounds like she deserved it!

Those Walmart clerks sound like they need a good night's sleep. The best story, though, was the remote-car-starting woman.

Karma indeed for Little Miss Remote Start.

Now have a nice night, CF.
