Today's meme (courtesy of Yano) is 10 songs I'm embarrassed to admit I like. Since I am safely cloaked in anonymity, here's my list:
1. Love Will Keep Us Together (Can I get at least one smile for Captain and Tennille??)
2. If I Had Million Dollars (I laugh myself silly every time I hear it)
3. Invisibly Shaken (Rodney Atkins could sing the weather report and I would love him)
4. You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This (who COULD resist snappy lyrics like, "I see one candle burning in your eye...?")
5. I think I Love You (think David Cassidy)
6. I Will Survive (I drive very well when I sing this one)
7. Respect or Chain of Fools (Aretha in her prime)
8. Big Girls Don't Cry (Fergie NOT Frankie)
9. Second Chance (I know every.single.word. Ask my kids!)
10. How Firm a Foundation (the hymn, of course! One of the verses uses the phrase "hoary hairs," and thanks to my vast hymn knowledge, I knew what "hoary" meant when it showed up on an IQ test in 2nd or 3rd grade. So there!)
Your turn: what odd song do you love?

RESPECT by Aretha Franklin
You've Got A Friend by Carole King (I actually love the entire album)
When I Said I Do by Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black
The Piano Man by Billy Joel
Would I Lie to You by Annie Lennox (Eurythmix?)
I LOVE "I think I love you!" I used to listen to the 8-track with those big ol headphones! Hilarious.
Oh, and I LOVE Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen...pretty much that whole album. I was the youngest of five, so I listened to all that stuff when I was pretty little.

Loving number six!
Brings back great memories.
#10 - Every time I hear it, I hear J.Vernon McGee.
I love that Big girls don't cry song! :)
I loved "Love Will Keep Us Together"...still do. I MUST sing along whenever I hear it, including the "da-da-da-da-da-DAHs." Knowing all the words to that one is nowhere near as embarrassing as knowing "Muskrat Susie and Muskrat Sam, do the jitterbug down in Muskrat land..." Yes. I know the words to "Muskrat Love." Will you still be my friend?
One final confession. FANILOW TO THE END. Love Barry Manilow, and I am proud to be a Fanilow. Really, how could anyone sit still when "Copacabana" is playing. :)
I am ashamed of you. I am ashamed that I like a lot of the cheesy songs you like. :)
The Bare Naked Ladies always make me smile, laugh and sing.
I like alot of these.
Leaving on a jet plane is an old time fav.

I wanted to do this today, but couldn't come up with anything this morning. (I was in too much of a hurry at the time!) How about anything Barry Manilow?
funny, I hadn't thought of Captain and Tenille forever and then this weekend I was thinking of Muskrat Love, LOL. cute list that you admitted to :) has several of my favorites on it too
hoping the day is a good one :)

What a walk down memory lane!
I'd like to know if anyone can listen to #1 without joining in....

Thank you for your comment and your prayers. I truly appreciate it - more than you know.

I'm totally with you on 1, 2, and 6.
My embarrassing song? Groove is in the Heart, by dee-lite.
