Wordful Wednesday: 7 Days

In seven days, the driving instructor's job will be done.

In seven days, she will begin driving with us.

We do hope that in seven days she will forego her penchant for driving over curbs.

And, no. We have no intention of correcting her belief that the speed limit in the neighborhood is 15 mph.

Today's Wordful Wednesday is hosted by:

In a couple months, she'll think she's a pro. And there's no convincing them otherwise. :-(

I always let my daughters "practice" with someone else than me. Just the chicken in me.... :)
I hope it goes well for her!

LOL. I'm thinking she's going to eventually see the speed limit signs in the neighborhood, but it is good that so far she doesn't have a lead foot. Better to say "speed up" than "slow down". I'm sure you will be pumping the brakes (imaginary on the passenger's side as you drive with her) a lot over the next few weeks. But you know, they eventually get it and they eventually become good drivers and it does free up so much of your time. of course we won't even mention driving in snow or ice yet

I made all my girls wait til they were 18 and th helped them pick a responsible older friend to teach them and let them practice. I drove for a living for years and I am much to picky perfectionist to teach anyone that skill. Plus, I just knew I'd be running out of my anxiety meds!
They all turned out to be fairly good drivers.

I still haven't quite gotten beyond my penchant for driving over curbs. Or backing into things.....

We're working right now on upgrading from a tricycle to a bike but are meeting a lot of resistance. I bet it seems like only days since you were at that stage with your daughter.

I hope it goes well for your daughter

Blogger is giving me fits! Hard to leave a comment anywhere!

But back to your post, you brave mom, you. Teen texting terrifies me. "Don't Text in the car in Texas" is my personal slogan. But it doesn't have much of a ring to it.

I was a natural driver - it was all my years driving the riding lawn mower on our few acres of grass, I'm just sure of it.

I was an exert at rubbing the sides of the car tires on the curbs - so much so that we went through four or five tires because they got "thin" in those spots and started to bulge. Ooops :)
