My New Axe

My family gave me a new guitar for my birthday. That gift was such a sweet gesture that I have been playing it incessantly. However, as a guitarist, I stink. Royally.

In seeking to understand this problem, I have explored all possible causes and I have found that I am anatomically incompatible with guitars. Not that that explains the foggy chords really.

So what is one to do it is discovered that he or she is guitarly impaired?

Obviously, the answer is to play very, very loudly.

I want to delete that comment, Checkered. It is just wrong on so many levels.

Yeah, the guitar playing has stopped here. It is dusty again. I took up bike riding and the guitar is back in the corner. But yes, do rock on "funky friend." He said it. I would never have called you funky but apparently you are. He is the authority. So, if you master this, we can start a girl band. Well, a slightly over the hill aged lady band. I can sing. That I do fine. Glad your bday week was fun for ya!

No--the obvious answer is to take up the drums! My daughter has a boy in her band that has no hands, so he plays the drums with is feet. If he can do it you can do it!

Play faster. I used to play the accordion but couldn't get my hands to work together. When I played faster it didn't sound as bad. Now I don't play at all and it sounds much better.

Just rock on... with the guitar or Checkered Flag. Whatever you are in the mood for at the moment. I have a trumpet I picked up at a garage sale. I've never played a horn in my life, but I'm going out back and learn how to play 'Mary Had A Little Lamb' or something. Either that or get shoes thrown at me. That wouldn't be too bad if they are in my size and they throw both left and right at me and still got some wear left in them...
