Today's meme comes from http://www.yanowhatimean.com/tuesday/ and the list is 10 things that make me feel old:
10. The mothers of the other second graders.
9. The people from my high school graduating class who have grandchildren.
8. Getting excited about "Fame" and having my kids ask if there really was another "Fame" movie.
7. A little too much gray here and there.
6. Going to a church where the music director is young enough that he doesn't really know many hymns.
5. Asking my students yesterday about something related to the Oklahoma City bombing of 1995 and having them respond, "Someone bombed Oklahoma?"
4. Realizing that the oldies station hasn't played any of my "old" songs in a long time.
3. Watching siblings and their spouses retire.
2. Sleeping with a sick child on his less than great mattress and not being able to stand up straight the next morning.
1. Having the doctor lecture me about cholesterol.
Now what about you??

I sympathize with your meme!
I ran for a train yesterday and my legs are really stiff... Also, everyone with kids the same age as my own to are at least 15 years younger than I am!
I totally want to see the new Fame movie!! The orig is still one of my fave go-to movies when i'm down. :)
Old = attending the weddings of kids i once babysat and held as babies. Ug
i have a copy of the original fame if you would like to borrow it to show your kids... and gee thanks i feel OLD now ...
the ga grandma LOL
Gah. I think I'll put my head in the sand.
HA Ha!!! This is great.
How about my kids being shocked that I was ALIVE in the 60's????? SHOCKED.
Having my niece ask advice for what to wear to a 'retro' party - you know, since I actually WORE those kinds of clothes!!!
it's the hair...definitely the hair!
My number 1? Just getting out of bed some mornings! AARRGGHH!!!!
I enjoyed this meme; it is amazing how many of my high school class have several grandchildren! they started way toooo long (not really, but that's my story and I'm sticking with it)
there is something too about the hymns not being passed down to the younger generation; so much wonderful music not being appreciated or sung to God
betty
Numbers 4 and 5 really made me say "I hear you!".
Your top #10 is TOTALLy my top #10 -- no doubt.
My #9, however, would be "pillow face." (Indentations that stay with you past the noon hour, they come from your pillow).
Oh how well you speak my language. Amen, sister, to all of that.
For the first time in my working career I am the oldest person in my department. There are two people above me in the hierarchy.
Excuse me while I burst into tears.
Oh, that Fame one got me going! My daughter had the nerve to look disgusted!
And the cholesterol this, I'm getting that same lecture.
This has been sitting in the dock (of the bay) for 3 days now(???) because it was so good :)
And so accurate.
What (else) made me feel old is when our daughter turned 20 and our son turned 23 this summer, they were the ages my husband and I were when we got married.
And our ring bearer, who 5 in our wedding, is now 40.
And several of my classmates have BEEN grandparents for a while.
And one of our daughter's classmates is expecting - or has had - her 4th baby. YES, 4th.
Etc., etc., etc.
