The Good Life

  • Do you remember the joys of tooth loss?
  • Do you remember not being able to sleep lest you miss getting a sneak peak at the Tooth Fairy?
  • Do you remember writing a note to the Tooth Fairy asking several questions?
  • Do you remember the Tooth Fairy having to retrace her steps and write and print out responses?
  • Do you remember awakening and being so relieved because the Tooth Fairy didn't forget you?

I remember making up fantastic stories as to why the tooth fairy was late and came while toothless kid was in the shower... and I remember said kid getting 5 bucks for one tooth because the tooth fairy cant see good in the dark and mistook a 5 for a 1 and I also recall said kid expecting 5 bucks for each tooth there after and trying to make them all loose as he saw it as quite the lucrative business.... and I recall the tooth fairy when she was 5 having no front teeth at christmas and singing in church all I want for christmas is my two front teeth :) Wonderful memories and I just LOVE tootheless grins! Ohhh did you know the tooth fairy stores baby teeth in my pantry in the way back in a cookie tin??? MY KIDS DO cause they SNOOP way too good LOLL)LOLOLOLOLOL

I am actually dreading this for Eli... only because he seems so young and NOT ready for this yet... and a friend of his, a year older is starting to loose his. I am just praying Eli doesn't freak out and it is the right timing for him!!!

How much are people giving for teeth these days? I think I got a quarter or something like that. Or an actual gift. I cannot remember.

My daughter BooBoo got in trouble for pulling out teeth before their time. She was getting addicted to the tooth fairy.

What a special time in childhood.

My daughter's Tooth Fairy forgot her once and I will never forget that disappointment (I think the Tooth Fairy fell asleep on the job). I cannot remember what that explanation was.
She also wasn't happy with the fact that the value of a tooth decreased the more she lost.

The Tooth Fairy will be making appearances around here again in a few more years, she had better bring her A game.

I loved being the tooth fairy. When I was a child the tooth fairy did not "exist" yet...

I never wrote a note to the tooth fairy, but what a lovely idea, and sure to garner more payment for teeth, I would think. Is that how it works?
