- work goes away for a few days, but we know (hope) we have jobs to return to afterward
- my parents will be here!!
- my children's moods and behavior are exceptionally lovely
- lots of fires to sit by and warm-up
- new recipes to try
- board games
- hugs from most every friend I see
- the music
- the joy my children have in giving to me
- the way my child insists that we start the day by singing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus.
Now, what have I left out? Any ideas, SITStas?
I'm right under you today!!
Merry SITSmas my friend.
I think Christmas breakfasts seem to taste especially good. Coffee, coffee cake, pigs in a blanket, breakfast casserole ... Do I sound like a fat guy talking here?
Great list! There is so much to love this time of year! Too bad we can't keep the 'feeling' all year!
Lists. Checking them twice.
I like Checkered's add to the list. Breakfast IS the most important meal of the day, ya know!
Perfect, I wouldn't change a thing on that list of yours!
Merry SITSmas!! all the best of the season:)
This is a sweet list!! You did not mention the traffic shopping and grouchy folks. Oh, nevermind...you meant the GOOD stuff.
Is SITS a new holiday that I was left out of?
Love your list and it's just perfect...with the addition of Checkered's request.
Thanks for your inspiration and encouragement on my blog. I really appreciate it. It means more than you know. LOVE YOU.
I think that about covers it!
Have a very Merry SITSmas!
What a lovely list but I would add snuggling in front of the TV with a great holiday movie.
I love your list! So many wonderful things--and I love how you sing happy birthday on Christmas morning--great idea and tradition!
I think you have a complete list there! Merry SITSmas!
There's a lot that I love about this magical time of year. I wouldn't even know where to begin. Merry SITSmas, and thanks for stopping by!
Breakfast casserole...love it and now I remember what I had left off my shopping list!
What board games do you like?
My kids sing Happy Birthday too. I love that! :)
What a warm feeling your list conjures up and that's not just because I might be having a hot flash.
The thought of board games and a fire, of children and family, with songs and food just sounds wonderful.
all wonderful things that make Christmas special!!! spending time with family around a fire playing board games in always fun!! one thing we do is read a bit from the Bible and say a prayer thanking God for Jesus before we open presents :)
