Hope springs eternal in the human breast;
Man never Is, but always To be blest:
The soul, uneasy and confin'd from home,
Rests and expatiates in a life to come.
-Alexander Pope,
An Essay on Man, Epistle I, 1733

I love it!
We never got much snow in part of the country,..so I'm always happy to at least see it!
Amen!

Nice photo to go with this poem!
=)
Ours is coming tonight. And yet I looked at last year's photos from April 19-22 and I was picking asparagus from our garden AND my daffodils were in full bloom! Now they're only up 6" and I hate to tell them that snow is coming.
Awwwww....such a sweet photo and words too. Keep warm!
Love Pope...and I hope some spring comes your way soon;)
So far tonight, we have four new inches (of 12 threatened). At the bank today, I saw a batch of daffodils bent over in pain, trying to fight the weight of snow. Some day...
One can only hope each snowstorm is the last snowstorm for this year, but it sure seems like it is hanging on longer than necessary this year!
betty
