Friday Fragments: Mother Nature I'm Not

No thanks to iPhoto, I am here WITH pictures.  While I practice controlled breathing to reduce my iPhoto anger, here's what's been happening in other parts of my life:
  • This week I should have enjoyed the rabbit siblings cavorting in my front yard.  They have wrestled and jumped over each other.  Very cute except they eat everything in the yard.  So while others may have grabbed their cameras, I ran around chasing rabbits and yelling, "Go away!"
  • In another situation of poor housing choice, a fox has built a den next to a nursery.  Unfortunately, it is on the property of my sons' elementary school.  Can you imagine her confusion when 700 children descended on her home?  Animal Control will be out next week to rehome the family.
  • Eight months ago, the asthma doctor decided that my son had outgrown asthma.  This week a massive flare-up netted my boy this bag of meds.  I suppose that belies the outgrowing it theory.

  • I just heard an interview with Jesse James.  Know what?  I still like Sandra Bullock better.

  • Know what else?  I don't appreciate Pakistan telling us not to repeat our Navy Seal behavior in their land again.
  • We have a good pastor.  He cares, he prays, he visits, he preaches well, and he reminds me a lot of my pastor dad. All said, I still probably wouldn't put this bumper sticker on my car.

  • This is my newest tree.  It's a Forest Pansy Redbud.  I have every hope that it will: survive, grow branches, and maybe straighten up.  Until then, my neighbors continue to wonder why I planted a stick in my front yard.

  • Now, Mac users, please tell me how to get pictures from iPhoto to Blogger.  Do you all use Picasa?  It just seems so cumbersome.  I am not feeling that Mac love right now.  Actually, I want to punch it.
  • Perhaps I need to spend more time with Mrs. 4444's.  She is tech-savvy and good with angry people.  Okay, I'm headed there now.  Why don't you come with me?

LOL... I tried to use a Mac the other day & got so frustrated that I just went without. I love my PC! The bunnies sound too cute, my dog probably would have chased them.... or they may have chased her, she's small:-)

I'm a Mac, um, person, but I know only the basics.

All I do for pictures from iPhoto is drag the ones I want to the desktop, name them (optional, but it simplifies it for ME unless there's only one pic. Ha.) and 'choose' them from there. It really couldn't be easier unless you had someone do it for you. Which I don't.

You may want to punch your Mac at times, but I'd be hurling a pc out the window....

Some weeks are just like this, aren't they? Seems nothing can go right.

Have faith in your little stick. We've managed to raise many a stick into a full-size tree with much time and effort. :)

Happy Mother's Day.

Drag the pic. Then drag it to the photo upload spot. Hint: do it with the front part of the jpg number in the arrow....

I know it sounds complicated, but it is sooooo easy!

And, I say AMEN to everything in this post.

I haven't used Picasa at all. Just simply upload from my computer to Blogger. I agree with you, wouldn't use that bumper sticker either.

Stopping by from FF.

You are SO funny--Your fragment sign-off is brilliant, my creative friend.

I, too, am frustrated, however; my camera is dead. It's killing me to not be able to take a decent photo. For Mother's Day, Mr.4444 took it in to be repaired ($100 minimum. Yea.)

We had a tree like that once, back when Kyle was about tree-climbing/abusing/killing age. Just wouldn't leave the poor thing alone! You don't suppose it has anything to do with the fact that you have three boys, do you?? (if it really is new, never mind)

While I'd like to be up on that Pakistan thing, I'm not. I should go look into that, but I feel overwhelmed by the amount of news. Where should I go?

Rabbits, foxes, asthma, and pastors...OH my.
I hope you work out your anger for the mac!

iPhoto is nonsense. Stick with Picasa. I used it on PCs and Macs. Good stuff. And I agree that the fox is a bit dumb. Or is he savvy and likes to scare little children? Who knows. . . my mom, on the other hand, has a dove nest inches from her back door, where the dove is brooding over her chick. Good omen. Better than a fox.

Mac user here...select your photo in iPhoto. Go up to File and click Export. When the window opens up you can select the type of picture (usually jpeg) quality, size and then click Export. Next screen asks you where you would like to put the picture (I use Pictures) and allows you to name it. This is important because it helps keep things organized.

I export a lot of pictures between my blog and 2 websites and this is very, very easy and keeps everything usable. Plus, Macs are very human savvy. Their functions are built in to recognize the steps you do most often and it will replicate them so you don't have to keep clicking the same old thing every time.

Hope that helps!

I'm still laughing about the scare that poor fox must have gotten when all those kids came out for recess!!!

Good luck with the photos!

Lots of yummy love,

My photos from iPhoto are accessible when I go to the upload feature in blogger... just like any other folder?? However Picasa might be easier since Blogger has the great URL upload feature!

And I love the stick.. I mean TREE!!! The picture of hope!
