I am and have always been pink. Agreeable. One of the group. Good at fitting in.
Pink is good. Pink is lovely. Pink is very safe.
But the older I get, the more red I want to be. Individual and independent. Unfettered by public opinion. Unafraid to be me.
I suppose the trick is discovering who that "me" really is.

That is the challenge...who are we?? You must be getting closer to figuring this out....hence the almost red.
I'm with you. The reason is no one can put us in time-out!
I think that if we keep our eyes on the fact that we were created to 'glorify God and enjoy Him forever,' it helps us put everything else into perspective. There may be times when we're pink and times when we're red and times when we're royal blue! - all to His glory.
I don't know, but when you discover that person, I bet you are really going to like her!
Blessings & hugs,
Cheryl
Change is good!
Amen! More red and passionate purple and crazy rainbow colours...
Kind of like Jesus. He didn't care what people thought of him. He knew who he was, he knew what really mattered, he wasn't swayed by people and their opinions. He had a message, he knew what needed to be done and he did it.
To live like that.
It is doable yet I struggle with the same thoughts myself.
Keep striving!!!

Reminds me of that Red Hat Club for ladies over 50... wear RED and don't worry what anyone says !:-) I love it!
Surely there's a reason. I'll keep my fingers crossed you figure it out. I think your blog design is really cute and I see lots of colors there : ) I saw you on Over 40 Bloggers. I am over 40 also but I do not have the button on my blog. I'm working on it. I am now following you. I hope you will stop by my blog and have a look around http://talesfrommyjournal.blogspot.com I can be found in facebook too http://www.facebook.com/DeniseMartin.LillaRose and twitter @DeniseLillaRose If you like/follow me there I will do the same for you. When you stop by my blog, please check out my kind of fashion (hair jewelry).
I think we're all getting a little redder every year we get older. Frankly I was never much of a pink girl.
Everytime I've figured out who I am, I realized I've already changed a little more LOL
