That big toe set off a chain of events resulting in me losing my balance and falling headfirst into the end of the bedframe.
As I lay there hurting for the next several minutes, I considered my options.
- I could call my children in to help me. Three of them are boys, so that would be a bad option (and would, no doubt, ruin them for life.)
- I could call my daughter in to help me. She is 13 and doubts my sanity. That would be a bad option.
- I could call Checkered, and as a loyal husband, he would drive 45 minutes home to help, if necessary. But then I would have to tell him how I fell. And that certainly would be a bad option.
- I am a woman!
- I have a doctorate!
- I am a beloved wife!
- I am an adequate mother!
Things were okay, but then I realized that I had torn my favorite "foundation garment" and that is what pushed me right over the edge.

Oh I would have been mad to and forgotten all about my pains when I realized my garment was torn.

And, we have all taken falls from time to time. My dad would say, "Rub some dirt on it and get back in there". I hope you are ok.
Oh dear! That sounds like it seriously hurt! And then, a torn garment to add insult to injury :(
that sucks. I hate falling, and I should know I have done it a lot most recently spraining my ankle which still hurts.

Life is hard sometimes, but tearing your favorite foundation garment? That would have pushed me over the edge, too. Glad you hung on for the BATW visit (you are dressed now, aren't you?).

That really stinks about your "foundation garment!" A good one is hard to find. Not to mention expensive! Hope you weren't hurt too bad.

I hate wiping out like that. I have had my share of falls and therefore, my kids have their share of "fun" words!
